Gourmet got a running start thanks to some early designs that were remarkably similar to Air Free Runs.  Jon Buscemi and company have evolved their own niche in the lifestyle sneakers market, but their latest collaboration with UNDEFEATED has some clear Nike inspiration.  The UNDFTD x Gourmet Cinque pictured above is part of their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, but a look at the colorway and mudguard shape screams “1987!”  As Nike Free 7.0 in, the OG Nike Air Max 1, which is clearly the jumping off point for this modified Cinque chukka.  Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via FNG
 

We just turned the corner into October – does that mean more cold-weather kicks? Take a look at this week’s Top 20 submissions of Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT; seen in the past seven days were even more outstanding Air Free Run Originals and Retros but a couple of headstrong sneakerheads managed to get their hands (or feet) on some kicks that aren’t due out until December 2010. The Air Free Run Legacy was darn successful that Free Run Brand became an independent brand and rolled out it’s own line of footwear commonly referred to as ‘Jumpman’ or ‘Team Free Nike Free Run 3.0 Runs’. There are some non-Air Free Run classics that have released over the years, and Complex magazine just compiled a list of what they deem the fifteen greatest Jumpman Free Runs of all-time, and although you may not agree with their list, it’s a Air Max 97 Men Shoes nice history lesson of Free Run Brand’s models of the past (like the popular Free Run Pro Strong and the recent Alpha Trunner). However, there are some other greats that were left off the list, like the Free Run Mossified, the Melo 5.5, the Jumpman Pure, Jumpman Trifecta, the XVI.5 – a ‘Greatest’ list could be much longer than 15. Yet more proof of Jeremy Scott’s influence on the Nike Originals catalog is the continued run of new Nike Metro Attitude Logo releases.  This model takes the mega-sized Trefoil J.Scott introduced in ’09 and keeps the new colorways comin’, this one a decidedly feminine take on the quintessentially clean white/black combo.  That’s thanks to iridescent sequins on the side panel, ankle collar and heel that range from pink to lime green and make you question for a second if this shoe actually debuted in the ’70s.  Click through to get a better look and grab these from select Three Stripes retailers like TGWO.
