The Nike Zoom Kobe V2 takeover began last week, as we got a first detailed look

Supra isn’t shy about borrowing from Nike and Air Free Run but rarely has the nod been as obvious as with the Supra EE Avenger.  Erik Ellington’s pro model is an evolution of the Cruizer, which itself was heavily based on the Air Free Run 5.  The Avenger goes even further, adding an AJVI-style ‘Air’ cushion and frame, with an AJ5 ‘Grape’-style colorway among the key releases for spring.  There are also several simple palettes on tap, but an ACG Boltoro look is probably the pick of the remainder.  Click through to see em all and grab yours direct from Supra.

Rajon Rondo played 38 minutes with a dislocated left elbow but that wasn’t enough to help Boston win their game 4 overtime tilt against Miami.  The Celtics find themselves in a 3-1 hole and if they’re not careful, might find themselves eliminated before we have a chance to see their point guard play in his latest Nike Basketball player exclus5e.  Rondo wore a white/green Nike Air Max 360 BB Low in the first round but switched to the Zoom Hyperfuse Low for the Heat series; should he switch back?  Boston’s next game is at home at TD Garden and since this pair features quite a bit of black it’s probably better suited as an ‘away’ look, so this could be the last we see.  But it’s not too late for you to add these to your PE sneaker collection, as they just popped up available from RMKStore.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V2 takeover began last week, as we got a first detailed look and a thorough release schedule for the Kobe V2 in its three forms. In addition to the “regular” $140 version, there will be a Supreme edition (pictured here), priced at Nike Free Run 4.0 V3 $180, and an Elite tier, weighing in at a solid $200. As we get another look at the Kobe V2 Supreme (in more of a ‘photoshoot’ style rather than a detailed look), we notice once again the shining detail of the Supreme – the removable ankle lock-down sleeve, attached to the cushioned insole (word is there are two types – Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 ‘Play Fast’ and ‘Play Strong’). A heel-shot also reveals what appears to be visible Zoom Air and Kobe’s customary signature. Continue reading for a lengthy gallery of this upcoming 2012 release and let us know what you think – $180 for a Nike Zoom Kobe shoe worth the money? via kickz-lab.

Judging by its nickname, you might expect the latest custom Nike Dunk High by RōM to take its theme from a spilt glass of milk, but a quick glance reveals another inspiration entirely.  RōM’s ‘Don’t Cry’ Dunks emphasize the designer’s urban art Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 roots with a series of graffiti-style design elements along with the artist’s signature binary detailing.  The colorway is a uniquely crisp grey/black/blue combo that’s right in step with the current trends, though the level of detail on these far surpasses your average general release.  Click through to see more angles and hit up RōM to grab one of the 20 pair run of ‘Don’t Cry’ Dunks.
