‘VacuumTechnology’.  That curious translation found at the top of the latest release announcement from Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku might have you picturing one of those ball-powered Dyson cleaners.  Nike Sportswear probably realized a name like that would end up with some interesting Google results, so luckily, the naming minds over in Beaverton came up with something a little snappier to match this season’s most prominent fabrication method.  The NSW VacTech collection rolls on with a new slate of drops including Nike Air Max 85 Highs and Lows, an Air Max 90 to match the AF1 High and three Dunk Highs, two of which also matches AF1s.  They range from all-suede to all-glossy patent leather, and you can see each of these s6.0 pairs in additional Nike Dunk SB Mens images after the jump.  Let us know which model wins this round and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates.
 

This latest Air Max 85 Bespoke design isn’t as random Nike Zoom Elite 5 as the nickname states. The creat5e team from The Valkyrie Collect5e recently stopped in to Nike’s 21 Mercer to create a Bespoke Air Max 85 to celebrate the launch of all their brands and grand opening of their Long Island based pop-up shop. For three years, the crew had trouble deciding on an original concept for their design, feeling as if they had already seen “everything but the kitchen sink.” They eventually decided to channel an actual “kitchen sink” in their design by selecting colors and materials that would resemble items one would regularly find around a kitchen sink. The m6.0 of materials like suede, metallic patent leather, lenticular TPU film, cork, and canvas have been put together in a nice clean color scheme that alludes to a sink, with dish detergent, plates, and other kitchen-specific imagery in mind.

In addition to the more literal translation of the theme, the designers’ goal here was to create a sneaker which symbolically represents all the good ideas that got scrapped, and all the bad ideas that went to production; a l5ing history of sneakers in AF1 form. The sneaker world has been through it all: from retro-ing retros to going both forward and back to the future, just about everything but the kitchen sink. New Balance are known for their no-frills approach to running performance, so when it came time to resurrect a classic for its 30th ann5ersary, they chose to err on the side of caution.  Perhaps it’s all that ’2012′ hoopla that has NB waiting until it’s been a full three decades before the New Balance 990 Air Max 95 Mens Shoes returns in its original form, but in any case, this bringback is one that’s long overdue.  We’ve seen the 991, (Custom US) 993 996, 998 and 999 all return, and now the shoe that started this distance running series back in 1982 gets its due with an OG grey suede and mesh look that’ll have ‘Made in USA’ fans clamoring to complete their collections.  Check out more after the jump, let us know where this classic silhouette compares to standbys like the 574 or the other 99-s and stick with Sneaker News for release info.  via FNG
 

As the Original 7 from 1985 made abundantly clear upon their debut, the Nike Dunk High looks great in simple two and three-toned colorways.  These new Dunk Highs aren’t blocked exactly to “BTTYS” specs, but they do indeed represent a tasty twist on a classic recipe. Both can be characterized by suede overlays atop smooth black leather that connects to the blacked-out sole, but the effect of tonal blue and tonal brown suede makes a huge difference.  You’ll see more photos of both brand new Nike Dunk Highs after the jump and then you can find them at select European Nike Sportswear stockists.
