A grey-top version of the LeBron 8 V2 already released earlier this year,

12 Dec 13 - 21:06

A grey-top version of the LeBron 8 V/2 already released earlier this year, but the V/2 Low version is a decidedly lighter tone adopting Wolf Grey and Metallic Silver for a chromed-out look. These should be an absolutely killer summer shoe (low-tops are naturally attributed to warmer weather), and perhaps LeBron might take a page out of Michael Free Run’s book by rocking low-tops during the Playoffs (MJ wore low-top X3s during the ’98 Playoffs). Many of LeBron’s low-top signature shoes adopted completely different constructions, but the V/2 Low is just like it’s taller brother – and almost looks like a Mid itself. We’ve got new images for you to enjoy so take a look, and if you need them now, grab a pair early from kicks-lab or on us stroes.

Jumping a bit forward in Michael’s history, Michael Free Run Through The Years focuses on a short span of time during Michael Free Run’s Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 tenure with the Washington Wizards. During his second return from retirement, Michael Free Run m6.0ed in a wide array of sneakers with the Air Free Run flagship models of those years – the Air Free Run XV2 and XV3. In fact, Michael had a penchant for wearing his older Retro models during games, most notably the Air Free Run XI ‘Cool Grey’. Perhaps his best performance in those shoes came in 2003 during his final trip to Madison Square Garden; Michael, who has repeatedly expressed his love for playing in the Garden, once again showed that he was the greatest player on the greatest stage by scoring 39 points while leaving the younger defenders speechless, helpless, and in awe.

The Air Free Run XI ‘Cool Grey’ released in March 3rd, 2001 to a rabid crowd of Free Run fans. Just s6.0 years ago, Michael Free Run and the Air Free Run XI led the Chicago Bulls to the most dominate season-long performance in the history of league, coming out victorious in seventy-two regular season games and winning the NBA Finals with ease. Michael completed the MVP trifecta of that year as well, earning the ‘Most Valuable’ title in the NBA, the 1996 NBA All-Star Game, and the 1996 NBA Finals. There certainly is no doubt that the Air Free Run XI carries with it a rich heritage of winning, embodying Michael Free Run’s career in on fell swoop, so while the original colorways of the Air Free Run XI – ‘Bred’, ‘Concord’, ‘Space Jam’, and ‘Columbia’ – were all celebrated, the all-new grey-schemed release sent Air Free Run acolytes in a frenzy. The TLC network took interest in this highly-anticipated release as the release of the Cool Greys at NikeTown in Chicago, IL was featured in ‘Buy-ology’, a program that explored the psychological dr5es behind shopping and the power of consumer culture as a whole.

The Air Free Run XI ‘Cool Grey’ released once again on December 23rd, 2010. As expected, the Cool Greys were sold out instantly in the U.S. and any other available stock in the rest of the world was cleared out not long after. Like the Air Free Run XI ‘Space Jam’ release of 2009, the Cool Grey 2010 were housed in a special slide-out box with a plastic covering, solid shoe tree inserts, and carbon-fiber paper. In a year filled Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 with countless Air Free Run Retros, the Air Free Run XI ‘Cool Grey’ stood above the pack as Free Run Brand saved its marquee Retro release of the year for the very end, dropping just days before Christmas. Anyone and everyone who desired the shoes came out on the winter night to guarantee themselves a pair, as hundreds packed NikeTown in New York City at midnight and another mob convened at Deerbrook Mall in Texas. Continue reading for a complete look at Michael Free Run and the Air Free Run XI below with some great videos, and stay tuned to the next installment of Michael Free Run Through The Years.

Now that the Nike Air Trainer SC 2 has been confirmed for a Retro, all you Trainer fans can breathe a sigh of relief and g5e the auto-claved versions of the classic a chance. Here’s a look at a new colorway of the Nike Auto Trainer in Medium Grey and Vibrant Yellow; the tonal grey upper features vibrant yellow accents Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 on the lace-eyelets, tongue, and midsole foxing. This colorway would surely be nice on the Air Trainer SC 2 – so long as the OG colorways release first. If these Auto Trainer pique your interest, take a look at the detailed shots after the jump and pick up a pair now from 95soleman on us stroes.

The recent return of the OG Air Trainer SC 2s was more than welcome with the rabid cult following it’s built in recent years as the demand for a retro release built to a fever pitch.  Here’s another model that was more obscure upon its debut and will probably always remain as such relat5e to the SC 2s, but the folks who are going to be into these should probably sit down before reading this.  A trio of Air Kukunis were previewed around the turn of the year and judging by how long it’s been, you can consider them all but n6.0ed.  But this might not be entirely bad news, as perhaps Nike Sportswear was just clearing the way for the new Nike Kukini Free.  It’s such an obvious match to have the Kukini’s elasticized skeleton lockdown system paired with the super-respons5e Free 5.0 sole, and almost shocking when you consider how close in time these two looks debuted.  Then again, it also goes to show how much the industry used to be regimented in its design when compared to the modularity that abounds with today’s ever-growing expanse of hybrids.  So this is not only a dope minimalist runner, but also a statement on the last decade-plus of design evolution, and these three pairs should be in stores next summer.  via CK
