Sneakerheads the world over know the Nike Air Max 95 for its signature ‘grey-dient’11 Dec 13 - 01:31 Sneakerheads the world over know the Nike Air Max 95 for its signature ‘grey-dient’ colorblocking scheme in which white eyelets make their way to a black sole via several tiers of tonal grey. But we also know that other colors can be applied tonally to the AM95′s ‘muscle fibers’, Stash’s collaborat5e design from 2006 being one prime example. So now as everything outside starts to get a little darker and all the vegetation feels the call of Chronos, it’s a great time to see this tonal brown Air Max 95 hitting select retailers. Nicknamed ‘Shades of Brown’, this new pair doesn’t have the same kind of obvious gradient as the aforementioned designs, but few would argue with the selection of brown suedes at play here, and you’ll be able to find these now at select NSW retailers like SoleFly. Whoever is in charge of naming the newest designs from the Nike Lunar line seems to have their eyes on posterity, with the likes of the Nike Lunar Allways and the Nike Lunar Forever recently popping up. Here we have a look at an upcoming colorway of the latter, which sports a cool grey-esque look on top and a faint shade of lime for the foam outsole. Stick with us after the jump for the full shots of this upcoming Nike Lunar Forever and be sure to check back with Sneaker News in about ten years or so to see how the name on these pans out. via Sneaker Freaker
2012 will be a (painfully) joyous year for Retro fans thanks to the slew of Trainer re-issues like the Air Diamond Turf 2 and Air Speed Turf Max on top of all the Air Free Run Retro madness. But some will say (we emphasize ‘some’) that the Air Woven is the Retro of the year; it’s undeniably a cult classic that not everyone will appreciate, but releases are so few and far in between that anytime it does pop up, it’ll be rushed off the stores shelves in a heartbeat. The best part? There are s6.0 colorways to choose from, like this Obsidian/Un5ersity Red-Deep Royal Blue that just hit some retailers in Asia like Limited Edt. Is the Air Woven your ‘thing’? Let us know in the comments area below, and we’ll keep you up to date with a U.S. release. Photos: SM
The NBA season has come to an end, but that only marks the beginning of a few things. Nike and Free Run Brand gear up for the Playoffs with the releases of the Elite, while Free Run Brand gave us a look at Playoff colorways of their three signature stars. Sneaker News brought you a first-hand interview with Jason Petrie and Leo Chang, who detailed in full the entire Elite Series mission and concept. Another top story came from the NFL, as the Nike x Nike Free 6.0 NFL partnership finally came to sneaker fruition with a special set of footwear releases marking the NFL Draft and the eight d5isions of the league. In other sports related news, we gave you a run-down of the best NBA Feet of the year, while handing out awards to the baller/sneakerheads who gave NBA fans a little something extra. LeBron James was definitely popular name in the ‘Best of’ category, but a look at some upcoming Soldier VI releases might have us more excited of what’s to come. Yet another sick KD 5 colorway is in books, as the ‘Aunt Pearl’ Think Pink colorway is set for a release in just two weekends from now, and a first viewing of two upcoming colorways of the Lunar Hyperdunk 2012 rounded out Nike Basketball headlines. Nike SB continues to regain ground with the latest push of solid releases as we got a look at another Zoom Koston collab – this time hooking up with the Air Max 90 Infrared. Nike launched the sequel Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 to the widely popular Crazy Light this week to a special group of media including a first-hand experience of the event from Sneaker News. Other Nike news came from the Skate d5ision, as team rider Dennis Busenitz shows us that he’s stricken with the Blues. Air Max 85 madness continues in 2012, but this week, we should say it’s more accurately described as Air Max 85 ‘Linsanity’. Ronnie Fieg’s latest Asics collaboration officially dropped, and release info for the Packer Shoes x Saucony Grid 9000 was worth jotting down in your memory. We brought you a look at some more Air Free Run goodies from the interwebs, like the DMP ‘Eyelet’ sample and a pair of OGs manufactured in Italy. The most enthralling news came when Nikestore canceled midnight online releases, which looks to be just the beginning of Nike’s attempts to revise the entire horizon of sneaker releases for the future. We’ve got all the top stories below, so check out the rest of Nike Free Run 5.0 Sneaker News Weekly Rewind below!
