Despite making an early exit from the 2011 Playoffs, there’s no doubt that Amare Stoudemire re-invigorated the city of New York with his MVP-level of play throughout the season. Another notable STAT sub-story was regarding his sneakers – the Zoom Huarache TR Mid PE to be precise. Apparently he’s taken a quick allegiance to the New York Yankees upon his arr5al to the Big Apple based on his zip-up hoodie. Recently Sneaker News gave you a look at an amazing vintage sneaker auction that contained not one, but two pairs of the original Nike Air Pressure in deadstock condition. These pairs are tough to come by, and a re-issue isn’t very likely (Nike’s got a whole bunch of other plans in store for us), but we weren’t left completely hanging. The Nike Air PR1 is inspired by the Air Pressure and this House of Hoops Exclus5e colorway paid tribute to the OG colorway,  combining white, black, grey, and red in all the right places. The Vintage treatment g5en to a number of previous Nike silhouettes was something our readers did not welcome with open arms. The Dunk High, AJKO, Vandal, and Blazer was g5en a pre-yellowed application to g5e the shoe an old-school look, but this latest colorway of the Nike Vandal High VNTG Nylon seems devoid of that detail. Instead, it’s the cream-colored nylon upper – aiming Nike Free Dynamo for a dingy look – that allows this pair to be part of the Nike VNTG series, with a hot pink midsole Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 and swoosh border adding the necessary pop.
