Following up on the successful launch of ?uestlove’s early 2011 collaboration

Following up on the successful launch of ?uestlove’s early 2011 collaboration, Nike Sportswear issued a bunch of additional Dunk High ACs.  Patterned after the VNTG Blazer, the Autoclaved Dunk High switched soles and Swooshes to look more like the original Beaverton court kicks than the ‘Be True’ college basketballer we’ve come to know and love.  It looks like the only other NSW classic that has surpassed the Dunk in terms of enduring relevance and sheer volume of colorways was also slated to receive a similar treatment, though you’ll notice that this ‘Blazer’ Nike Air Force 1 Low keeps its iconic Pivot Point cupsole on this belly-Swooshed grey suede sample.  Let us know if you’ll cop these (assuming these aren’t shots from the cutting room floor) and stick with Sneaker News for release dates along with more rarities and unreleased gems.
 

After July’s top-shelf releases of the Air Jordan 1 ‘WBF’ Pack and August’s Air Jordan 1 ‘Golden Moments’, you might’ve had your fair share of AJ1 releases. Don’t expect to take too long of a break because Jordan Brand’s got more Phat releases this September, with this ‘Bordeaux’ colorway being a particular standout. It features a basic Air Jordan 1 color-blocking with the rich wine Bordeaux tone paired with Stealth grey on the upper, lined and laced with black. We’re stating the obvious here, but perhaps a lace-swap to Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 a dark green on a golden yellow will give these that true ‘Bordeaux’ VII appeal! Nike keeps peaking thanks to new technologies like Hyperfuse and LunarLon, and they’re even having success with combining these new methods and materials with classic sneaker builds.  Nike Sportswear’s Air Max 1 Premium Fuse and Air Max Air Max 90 Womens 90 PRM are casual examples of mixing stitching with contemporary welding techniques, and on the performance side of things, the Running division has this answer.  The Nike LunarSpeed+ has just arrived in a new colorway that Sacramento Kings fans would love to see as a viable option to match their team moving forward.  That team’s relocation saga may never wrap itself up, but their colors on this relatively low-key Nike Lunar offering make for a sure thing, available now at NikeStore.

With the ‘Galaxy Foamposite stirring up an incredible amount of attention around sneakers, many wondered what the next ‘Galaxy’ release would follow. Of course, the trio of Nike Basketball signatures for the 2012 NBA All-Star Game can’t be overlooked, but those didn’t capture the seemingly unlimited depth of outer space as it used the ‘galaxy’ print in a controlled and limited matter. The Zoom Rookie LWP, however, popped up in ‘Galaxy’ form (a black-pod version and a glow-pod version that was revealed to be a collab with SC), with NSW head honcho Gentry Humphrey confirming the release himself; a confirmed date of October 6th is being reported, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates as we near this release date.
