Jeremy Lin has skyrocketed to global fame over the past year

So much has been said and yet words can only do so much to express (our gratitude for) the brilliance of Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan III.  One way of understanding how much it means to sneakerheads is examining how many custom jobs have been attempted on its familiar lines, the latest of which utilizes one of the year’s most popular textures to wedge itself into the top of the custom AJ3 power rankings.  Emmanuelabor’s ’Python Supreme’ Air Jordan 3 turns one of the Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 leather styles into another jungle animal by way of the designer’s more “exorbitant” take on the recent AJ3-channeling Supreme Dunk Low SBs.  One might guess these were built from the ‘True Blue’ based on the Elephant eyestay, but given the unprecedented addition of that famed print on the collar, you could just as easily point to ‘White Cement’ for its ‘blank’-ness.  Take note of these details along with the leather lining, artist-specific dubraes and footbeds after the jump below, and let us know what you think with a comment.
 

The first of three ‘Varsity’ Nike Air Force 1 Lows we’ve seen featured a green and white base with orange accents whose release after the turn of the year brings about St. Patrick’s Day implications. Jeremy Lin has skyrocketed to global fame over the past year, and on Thursday he launched his charitable foundation that’ll benefit organizations in the Houston area.  Linsanity’s new home meant the Rockets’ point guard got to compete in the NBA Skills Challenge on his home floor Saturday night.  Lin had his choice of the Nike Lunar Hypergamer Low and Hyperdunk 2012 Low, and ended up going for the Lunar Hypergamer PE for the contest.  Click through to see more and let us know how these compare to the rest of the weekend’s amazing kicks.
