Like plenty of modern lifestyle labels, the signature release from Losers draws on traditional athletic footwear

Like plenty of modern lifestyle labels, the signature release from Losers draws on traditional athletic footwear.  Standing on the shoulders of a giant in the Vans Old Skool, the Losers Uneaker makes itself distinct with a variety of applications including the neck-breaking shark teeth edition that’s already synonymous with the Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 young brand.  Click through to see those pair’s perf embellishments along with other styles including houndstooth, a new slip-on style with Power Rangers-ish graphics and a new midtop, and stick with Sneaker News to see if this burgeoning Japanese label continues to expand its sphere of influence.

The Nike LeBron 8 was LeBron James’ first shoe following “The Decision”, and hence the sneaker to help him make the transition over to the black and red palette. Adding on to the crop of Miami colored retail releases that fell for that shoe in its initial run is this, a pair from Dank Customs that uses the same shades to different effect. Shown is the Nike LeBron 8 “Black Widow”, a spooky spider pair that sees its titular arachnid stamped onto the ankle collar. See full images of this new pair from Dank Customs and tell us where the Nike LeBron 8 ranks amongst King James’ post-Cavs silhouettes.

The recently introduced Mach Force is a 2012 debut that hearkens back to late 80s basketball aesthetics.  Given the overlap in its name, you might think the Nike Mach Runner is a similar kind of faux-retro, but that’s only because it’s Nike Free Run + 3 been out of circulation for something like a decade.  In fact, the Mach Runner is one of the original Nike running shoes, a 1976 release that makes a triumphant return in an OG-ish colorway combining white, Neutral Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 Grey and Royal Blue.  More good news from Nike Sportswear for the suede and mesh faithful, this Mach Runner is up for grabs at stores like Rock City Kicks.

We try and keep you up on what rappers and other celebs are wearing these days in terms of sneakers, but let’s keep in mind that rappers have had the trainer game on lock long before the current bubble of “sneakerhead” interest. Evidence comes here in the form of a handful of classic sneaker-featured album covers of yesteryear. Some that come to mind are Biz Markie in his Nike Air Safari, LL Cool J in some Air Jordan 1s, Three Times Dope with a mean set of Air Jordan IIIs, and the endless Run DMC x Nike Free Run moments. Click through with us for a walk down memory lane and then check out the greater group of classic rap album cover sneaker sightings on FNG and Classic Kicks.
