We a behind-the-scenes kind of group, but after seeing Aaron Top 20 stash yesterday, we hope you got a better idea of who and what runs the Sneaker News machine. Moving forward with this week-long exploration of Sneaker News staff kicks, we take a look at my Top 20 with a backstory behind each selection some sentimental, others a bit embarrassing.

Part of Carmelo Anthony trip to Puerto Rico this past weekend Nike Free Run 5.0 included a charity softball game, attended by several of his teammates like Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton and New York Yankees great Bernie Williams. Melo and Amare were spotted with some Air Jordans on Melo with the 2011 Air Jordan III History Month and STAT with the recently dropped Nike Free Run 4.0 White/Red Air Jordan IV. As we near Training Camp for the 2012-13 NBA Season, look for a rejuvenated Carmelo and a spry Amare (who is most certainly poised for a bounce-back season) this upcoming campaign.

The Packer Shoes x Asics Gel Kayano "All Roads Lead to Teaneck" will release on Friday, January 31st both in-store and online at Packer Shoes. The Asics release comes as the first of collaboration projects marking the historic store ten year anniversary in Teaneck, NJ (Keep in mind that they been in business for much longer in the NY/NJ area). The shoes get their rugged palette from the roads and highways surrounding the store in question, and feature an asphalt speckling, an orange neoprene collar, and a little bit of 3M on the back end.
